Bats in Sacred Spaces
October 27 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pmFree
Bats in Churches is a five year project to help people and bats live more harmoniously together in churches in England. For International Bat Week we want to put the topic of bats use of sacred places into a global context. Join us online at 13:00 (GMT) for a webinar where we will journey from Christian churches to Hindu temples, to sacred caves of Madagascar. We’ll explore how important these structures are for the bats, as well as looking at the interactions between them and the people who cherish these religious sites. What has and is being done to reduce any human-bat conflict?
Wherever you live in the world you are invited to join FREE.
Thank you to the National Lottery Heritage Fund who fund the project and to British Ecological Society who have provided a grant for this event.
